S-082 Aluminum Railroad Eagle
This example is produced in silver finished aluminum, which has toned
and shows moderate discoloration and wear. It has a wingspan measuring 27.5”.
The reverse has what remains of the four threaded studs, which all were cut to
remove the eagle from the locomotive it was attached to. The cuts are very
rough, like a torch was used to cut the studs, very cool! The reverse is marked
“LOK RZA 4 BLN” just above where the wreath is. We believe this is for
“Reichsbahn Zug Adler” or, in essence, “National Railroad Train Eagle”,
while the BLN is presumably for Berlin. The reverse of the left wing is stamped
“HE. Gal Mg Si”, indicating the manufacturer and elements used in the
production of the eagle. A sound example, great for display!
