S-135 NSBO Flag Pole Finial (Top)
An interesting piece, nearly ten inches tall and cast from a zinc
alloy metal finished with a matte aluminum wash; there is matte black detailing
to show separate fingers and the palm area, as well as the “NSBO” letters on
the portion of cogwheel and the rectangular face of the hammer. The hammer’s
head has a raised swastika with the aluminum finish. Below the base ring, the
pole tube (hollow shaft) is about 4.5” long; the bottom 1.5” looks a bit
polished in comparison to the remainder. Overall the piece is in pretty good
condition, with most of the aluminum wash still present on the insignia. Nice,
scarce piece.
