S-136 First Model Political Leader / SA Finial
(Flag Pole Top)
This cast metal eagle finial (flag pole top) is about 9” high
including the threaded screw on the bottom, with a wingspan of about 8”. It is
the first pattern eagle (similar to the 1929 model cap eagle in appearance), with
the characteristic overly simplified feathers and oak leaf wreath. The finish is
in great condition, with a decent gleam remaining. The swastika has about 99% of
the satin matte black paint remaining, with only a few small nicks on the
reverse. The eagle is detailed on the backside as well as the front - complete
with tail feathers. At the bottom, the approximate 1.25” long screw mount remains,
though lightly oxidized and a little bent. Overall a nice example.
