S-530 Insignia Set for Army Pith Helmet
This set consists of the shield shaped insignia used on the Army DAK
Pith helmets. This is a later-war set, produced in zinc. The eagle has excellent
detail and virtually no wear. The black background finish is mostly intact, but
the finish on the eagle is missing. The tri-color National shield retains a
majority of the red and black finish, the silver in the center is mostly gone.
All prongs for mounting to the Pith helmet are intact. Each of the shields is
stamped with the maker mark for the maker, F.W. Assmann & Sohn. An
above average set!
