HG-104 Prussian Infantry Enlisted Man’s Spiked
Helmet
This is produced in a polished black leather which has some crazing
but is quite sound overall. It has solid brass hardware to include the spike,
spike mounting base, the frontal plate (for Prussian soldiers), spine and front
visor trim (which is loose). The frontal plate is secured with two replacement
pieces of leather. These all display a dark, rich tone. Neither of the side
roundels are present. The interior retains its original black leather liner,
which has some major tearing and cracking and is missing a few substantial
pieces. The underside of the rear visor has a black ink stamp that appears to
read “B. A. K.”. “As found”, representative example overall!
