HG-104a Prussian Infantry Enlisted Man’s Spiked
Helmet
This is produced in a black leather, which has some crazing but is
quite sound overall. The side lug reinforcements and front/rear visors are
polished black leather. The hardware consists of the wartime zinc spike with a
field grey finished mounting base, rear spine and front visor trim. The frontal
plate is held in place with wire. The front visor is loose, only being held in
place by its retaining lugs. The interior retains its original black leather
liner, which near excellent with only minor wear/scuffing. There is a black
leather drawstring. The underside of the rear visor has a stamping that reads
“29R” as well as the name of the owner (handwritten). A representative
example overall!
