Pioneer Personnel
Top shelf example. This is a regulation, textbook, issue piece with a
very nice shape and overall excellent look. There is a total of one minor moth
nip near above the centerband towards the front (hardly noticeable) but
otherwise the condition of the exterior is flawless. The black piping is for
Engineer (Pioneer) Troops. The early brushed aluminum eagle and wreath are
nicely matched and original to the cap. The size 53 1/2 liner with complete
moisture shield looks virtually unworn. The underside of the totally undamaged
brown leather sweatband has the maker’s information and distribution
information is dated 1937. This one goes directly to the top shelf.
