HG-15a Incredibly Scarce Army Panzer General’s
Overseas Cap
All I can say is wow! This super desirable cap has the perfect,
“been there” look that we all love. It is produced in a soft, high quality
green wool that has moderate discoloration and wear from use. There is a single,
enameled air vent on each side. The upper edge of the cap and the top edge of
the front skirt are piped in a gold aluminum mesh that has toned to a deep, dark
hue. There is a flat wire Army eagle over a dark green backing that is excellent
and has been hand applied to the cap. A cockade with silver bullion trim is seen
as well. There is a pink (faded) soutache, indicating use by Panzer Personnel,
that is original to the cap. The interior is fully lined in a gold rayon that
has moderate discoloration from use but no damage. There is a partial leather
sweatband, this is also well used. This awesome cap is fairly large, at least a
size 60. This is about as good as it gets!
