HG-17 Interesting Czech-Made Army Infantry
“Other Ranks” Overseas Cap
This interesting cap is produced in soft, field grey wool which has
some minor wear, discoloration and tracking. There is one very small nip on the
left side edge of the skirt. It has a very prominent down turn of the side skirt
at the front, resulting in a very narrow section at the front by the insignia.
Speaking of the insignia, it consists of hand applied, machine woven grey eagle
over green and a red/white/black cockade over dark green. There is a white
soutache as well, indicating use by Infantry personnel. The interior is fully
lined in a mustard yellow herringbone twill material, which has an ink stamp
(hard to read). There is a full brown leather sweatband which is excellent with
minor wear only. The cap is a size 54. An interesting example in above
average-condition!
