HG-3 Named Army "Other
Ranks" (Private Purchase Visor Cap) with Infantry Piping
One heck of a high quality cap for a Corporal.
It is made of a finely blended doeskin material and has a very high
peak. The material is somewhat
soiled and there is some tracking here and there on the body of the cap.
It is white piped for Infantry. The
eagle and wreath are made of an early tomback material with a nicely toned
nickel/silver finish. These have been on the cap forever!
The patent leather chinstrap and the visor show a moderate amount of
cracking, as if they had been exposed to heat.
The size 56 liner is made of material one would associate with Officer
quality. It’s a crème colored silk with a fully intact rhomboid moisture
shield. This is marked “Qualitäts Arbeit Luxus”.
The soldier’s name (Ggr Benz) rank (Gefrieter) and Unit (7. komp Inf.
Rgt. 4) are all under the shield. The brown leather sweatband is in near
excellent shape with no damage. Overall
a salty piece with a good look!
