HG-30 Choice, Rare Kriegsmarine Tropical Pith
Helmet
A choice example of a lightweight pith helmet, covered with a medium
tan cloth that is in excellent condition! The outer brim is trimmed with a light
brown leather that, despite containing some scuffing, is near excellent as well.
The right side has a very thin, aluminum tri-color shield whose colors are
incredibly vibrant and 99% intact. The left side has a Kriegsmarine eagle in
gold over a black background, this is configured in the same way as the
tri-color shield and retains 99% of its colors as well! Both of the shields are
manufacturer marked on the prongs that secure them to the helmet. There is a
light brown leather chinstrap that is worn but complete. The medium green cloth
lined interior is as new! It has a light brown leather sweatband that is ink
stamped on the underside with the size (56), the manufactures info (H. & W.
Lembert), the date of production (says 941) and “sommerfelder hutfabrik” for
summer field hat fabric. AN overall excellent example of a hard to find Navy
Pith helmet!!
