HG-3b Army Infantry Officer’s Visor Cap
This cap features a body that is produced in quality tricot wool that
is in a light hue of field grey. There is just some minor discoloration and
wear, with some signs of fading but no damage. The front peak is very high with
sides that gently slope down to the rear of the cap. The white piping,
identifying the wearer as Infantry personnel, is near excellent with minor
discoloration only. The centerband is produced in a dark green badge cloth, no
issues here! The silver bullion insignia matches perfectly and is excellent,
with just minor wear and toning. The Officer’s silver bullion chinstrap is
attached to the cap with a pair of small silver pebbled buttons. The bullion has
toned to a handsome, dark hue. The black vulkanfibre visor is good with minor
crazing only. The underside of the visor is finished in a brownish-red and is
crosshatched. The interior is fully lined in a gold rayon, which has some minor
discoloration from use. The clear, rhomboid shaped moisture shield is fully
intact. There is also a paper tag in the slot of the moisture shield that
identifies the size as “59”. The brown leather sweatband has some minor
discoloration and remains firmly attached to the cap. Overall, a great cap!
