HG-40a Choice Waffen-SS Black Panzer Model 1943

Spectacular piece produced at Dachau circa 1944. The
black wool body is in excellent shape with no visible damage or repairs.
The one-piece trapezoid insignia is machine applied. It is a textbook
example of a Dachau-produced piece. This example has the exposed tan
cardboard on the underside of the visor. This has a few wrinkles but no
damage. The size stamped 56 lining is a lightly ribbed
brown/grey cloth material. Other than some slight soiling in the forehead
area, this cap is as close to mint as you can hope for. Outstanding
example in investment quality condition.
