HG-40a Waffen-SS Reversible Camouflage Hood
This is a heavily padded cover which is fully insulated for winter
warmth. One side of the hood has an oak leaf pattern camouflage while the other
side is white. There is moderate discoloration to the white side and minor
discoloration to the other. There is some moderate wear and a few tears in this
example. This has the ear cut outs. The tie string is present and full length.
At some point the script “Bavaria Filmkunst” was written onto the white side
and then crossed out with a black magic marker. This indicates to me that this
piece was used as a prop by this movie-producing company after the war. An
interesting, representative example and priced for a quick sale!
