HG-41 Waffen-SS Officer’s Model 1943 Cap
This great looking cap is produced in a field grey wool, which
displays some minor discoloration and wear. Under the visor there is a hole
approximately the size of a pencil tip. There are a few areas with minor to
moderate tracking as well, so we will call the body of the cap sound overall.
The top edge of the cap is piped with a silver piping that shows some honest but
even wear. The front peak of the cap has a BeVo totenkopf, and the left side
flap has a machine embroidered SS eagle. These are 100% original examples that
have been professionally re-applied to this cap. This is virtually undetectable
but as always, you get full disclosure from me! The front closure has two nicely
worn silver finished pebbled aluminum buttons. The size stamped 56 interior is
fully lined in a drab green cloth which shows some minor wear from use. The
forehead area has a brown leather sweatband that remains soft and fully intact.
A sound, representative example of an eagerly sought after, highly collectible
piece of SS headgear!
