HG-50 Police “Other Ranks” Overseas Cap, Piped
in Green for Schutzpolizei
The wool body on this example, which is in the blue/green Police hue,
has some minor discoloration and tracking but is otherwise very sound. The top
edges of the cap are piped in green, indicating it was for use by Schutzpolizei.
The insignia is BeVo, with white cloth thread (minor discoloration) over a black
background. The well marked interior is fully lined in a green ribbed cloth; it
is sound with minor discoloration from use. The markings are for the
manufacturer, Carl Jasken of Köln, the size (56) and the year of production,
’42. A sound example overall!
