HG-7 Army Enlisted Man’s Artillery Visor Cap
Honest, uncleaned example of a regulation issue Army cap. The green
ribbed wool body has a nice shape and with the exception of some light soiling,
a few minor nips and one moth hole on the underside of the overhang (totally
invisible when displayed) is quite sound. The same goes for the red piping. The
eagle is an early tombac, while the wreath is made of a polished aluminum. The
black patent leather chinstrap and visor are in excellent shape. The size 58
liner has the brown cloth interior and the majority of the rhomboid moisture
shield. There are some ink stamps on the underside of the sweatband. I can
make out HB 38 (for the issue depot and year) but the rest is not legible to me.
Solid representative example.
