HG-95 Rare Deutsches Jungvolk Officer's Summer Overseas

This type of cap would be worn by the leaders of the groups
of youngsters between the ages of 10-13 who were part of the Detusches Jungvolk
(DJ) organization. It is the scarce summer cap (as identified on the oil
cloth RZM label underneath the sweatband) in black cloth with a machine woven
Hitler Youth Diamond nicely hand applied to the front. This cap is intriguing
because it has the silver bullion piping around both the crown and the scallop.
This has been very neatly applied (war time I am sure) to identify the owner as
a Leader. The size 56 liner is a black rayon. It has a brown sweatband around
the entire lower part of the interior (with the RZM tag underneath). It even has
the original safety pin at the top of the interior to help the piece retain its
proper shape! Light wear, and rare as hen's teeth!
