H-185 Excellent Model 1942 Waffen-SS Single Decal
Combat Helmet
This beauty retains an honest to goodness 97% of its dark feldgrau
combat finish. Many areas even retain the texture, something not found often!
The SS runic decal, manufactured by C.A. Pocher, is near excellent and remains
a solid 95% intact. The interior continues with the “excellent” theme, with
a light brown leather, size stamped 58 liner that has just the slightest amount
of wear. The owner wrote his initials on the liner in ink (“WG”). There is
a drawstring and a non-reinforced zinc linerband that is maker marked, dated
1940 and size stamped 58. The side of the interior is stamped “EF 66” which
means it was produced by the firm of Emaillierwerke in Fulda in the size of 66.
The rear of the skirt is stamped with the steel lot number (which looks like
514). The black leather chinstrap, with metal fittings, is excellent with minor
wear. A top-shelf example you will be proud to add to your collection!
