H-190 Interesting Model 1935 Reissued Single Decal SS Combat Helmet
"As found" out of the woodwork in New York State, the thick textured green
combat paint is about 50% intact. The runic decal has also not fared too well
and I’ll call it 30% and lean to the conservative side. Based on the amount of
paint missing in the area where the party shield should be I would say this was
removed at some time. The size stamped 56 liner is missing the drawstring.
You can clearly see remnants of the earlier apple green paint on portions of the
dome area. This has a reinforced aluminum linerband. I cannot see the
manufacturer’s code or shell size due to the thickness of the paint. This does
come with it’s original very worn black leather chinstrap that has a tear in
one eyelet just beyond the aluminum buckle…A good starter piece for the budget-
conscious.
