H-204  Model 1916 German Army Battlefield Camouflage Helmet
Sound three-color example with red yellow and green camouflage paint still covering 85% of the exterior in fairly vibrant colors.  There is a shrapnel hole in the upper portion of the back of the shell that would have been a real bell ringer if the owner were wearing it at the time. This is an early helmet with a leather linerband. All three pads and cushions are intact and in very nice shape. There is one little hole in one of the pads that seems to line up with the shrapnel hole. The side of the interior of the shell is stamped GBN64.  A good portion of the original chinstrap (with both brass buckles) is still attached to one of the side lugs. Overall a desirable WWI camouflage.
