H-204 Rare Model 1918 Double Decal Reissue Army

Here is one that is not often encountered, a Double Decal reissue!
The reissue green finish remains an honest 90% intact. The nicely toned Army
decal remains 95% + intact, with the tri-color shield checking in at 85%, both
near excellent. The reissue included an update to the Model 1931 liner and band,
this is a size 57 which shows some moderate discoloration and minor wear,
especially evident around the lower edge. There is a drawstring and a
non-reinforced zinc linerband that is maker marked, size marked and dated 1937.
The shell stampings are completely covered with the reissue finish, thus cannot
be read. There is a brown leather chinstrap which has a metal snap clip, this
has been neatly added to the “D” rings of the Model 1931 band. A rare
example of a Double Decal Reissue Helmet in excellent condition!
