H-205  Model 1918 TYPE, Early RZM Style Helmet
This heavy-gauge, commercially-produced shell is finished with a grey similar to that found on SS RZM helmets.  It  has been smoothly applied and remains approximately 90% intact. There are a few small dents in the shell, nothing too distracting though! There are vented lugs and flat linerband rivets. The interior has a brown leather, three-pad liner with a leather linerband that is retained by the aforementioned flat rivets (not split pins). The liner is firmly attached to the shell but has shrunk from age, so it is “pulled away” from the sides.  However, on a mannequin or on display this is not an issue. The right (as worn) side of the helmet is stamped with a three letter code, which appears to be “ang”, but this is hard to read. There is also a brown leather chinstrap with metal fittings that has some age cracking but remains sound overall. An interesting item in sound condition overall!
