H-211 Rare SA Model 1918 Type Helmet with Repairs
Very distinctive Model 1918 Ttransitional style manufactured
stahlhelm with a political brown paint over an earlier coat of green paint.
Together these are 90% intact. The helmet appears to have had two holes in the
top, which were repaired a long time ago. This possibly explains why it might
have been used as a political style helmet. The leather banded three-pad liner
retains two of the three interior cushions and an original drawstring. There is
a distinctive circular ink stamp with political eagle in the rear of
the skirt, which reads “SA der NSDAP Sturm 10/27 LANGENSTEIN”. It does
come complete with a cracked but complete brown leather chinstrap with roller
buckle configuration. "As is" scarce helmet.
