H-229a Excellent, Unissued Luftwaffe Model 1940 Single Decal Helmet
This example would be very difficult to upgrade! It retains an amazing 99% of
its factory applied, rough texture combat finish. The “standard” Luftwaffe
decal is seen, and it is pristine remaining 99% intact as well. The interior is
as new, with only the slightest amount of scuffing to the front edge of the
brown leather size 57 liner. There is a drawstring and a non-reinforced, zinc
linerband. The side of the interior is stamped “Q 64” indicating production
by F.W. Quist of Esllingen in the size of 64. The rear of the skirt is stamped
with the steel lot number of “6666”. There is a brown leather chinstrap with
aluminum fittings that is complete but split in half. It is maker marked and
dated 1941. An excellent example overall!
