H-239 Choice, Mint Model 1942 Luftwaffe Single
Decal Helmet
You really have to see this one to believe it! If your preference is
choice and mint, then look no further than this gem. The Luftwaffe blue/grey,
rough texture finish is literally 100% intact. There are a few scuffs and
blemishes, but the finish is fully intact. The decal is nearly as nice, with
just a few small nicks (remains 98% intact). The interior is as new, with a mint
brown leather liner which has just the slightest hint of discoloration. It does
have a bit of a “funky” cut to one of the tongues. It is size stamped 58,
has a drawstring and a non-reinforced zinc linerband that is maker marked, dated
1943 and size marked 58. The rear of the skirt is (lightly) stamped “NS 66”
and “339”. This indicates production by Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke in
the size of 66 and that the steel lot number is 339. There is a mint black
leather chinstrap with zinc fittings as well. Top shelf all the way!
