H-239 Choice Model 1942 Single Decal Luftwaffe
Combat Helmet
If you are looking for a super clean example of this type helmet,
then look no further! This gem retains 98% of its original rough textured
Luftwaffe blue/grey combat paint. The Luftwaffe adler is 99% intact, with
a small manufacturer’s application flaw. The bottom left leg of the
swastika is kinked slightly downward, otherwise this is almost perfect!
The stamped size 54 light brown leather liner is as clean as you will ever see,
with a one inch tear and moderate scuffing to the front being the only flaws.
There is a full-length drawstring present. The non-reinforced zinc
linerband is manufacturer marked and dated. The shell is stamped on the
inner side NS 62, indicating it’s manufacture by one of the less common
manufacturers, Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke, Schwerte. A top shelf
example!
