H-242 Model 1942 Luftwaffe Combat Helmet
A nice example of this type of helmet! The rough textured
Luftwaffe blue/grey combat paint is excellent, at 95% intact. The stamped
size 56 liner is choice, with only minor discoloration and virtually no
scuffing. It retains a drawstring and has the proper non-reinforced zinc liner
band. The shell is marked in the rear of the skirt (EF 64) along with its
production number which is (very cool, check this out!) “911”. This
example also retains its original chinstrap which is stamped, interestingly, on
the obverse. It lists the manufacturer as “gtg” and is dated 1943.
As they say, “the difference is in the details”, this is a perfect example
of that!
