H-250 Model 1918 Reissue Army Double Decal
Transitional Helmet
Representative example with a sound 70% of the thick textured green
paint remaining. The Army decal is 70% intact and the tri-color shield has fared
better, being 95% present. Both decals have received a coat of shellac to
protect them. The approximate size 58 liner is dark from age and wear and
retains its original drawstring. It is undamaged and has no repairs. The
linerband is the early, non-reinforced aluminum type. The paint is quite thick
on the interior so I cannot make out the markings in the skirt. This example has
a sound but shortened chinstrap with zinc fittings. Priced attractively.
