Double Decal Reissue Combat Helmet
You read it right, a true Double Decal reissue! This super intriguing example
started life as a double decal, then was summonsed for a reissue. This included
a liberal application of a textured finish in a dark field grey hue. This
remains a solid 98% intact! The two decals were then reapplied over the combat
finish. The ET style Army adler has toned quite nicely and remains an amazing
98% intact, as does the tri-color shield. Apparently the helmet was not reissued
after the reissue…..the interior displays as new! There is a light brown
leather, size stamped 53 liner with a full length drawstring. The liner band is
a non reinforced zinc example. The top of the dome is also stamped with the
liner size, 53. The addition of the textured finish has covered up the stampings
on the shell, but based on the decal we can assume that this is an ET and our
“test fit” tells us that it is a size 60. An excellent black leather
chinstrap is included, too! A desirable example that is sure to please!
