H-263 Model 1935 Army Single Decal Reissue Helmet
The reissue finish is in a dark hue of green, and is approximately
90% intact. The Army decal is decent, checking in at 85% intact. The interior
features a light brown leather, size stamped 59 liner. Unfortunately, the
leather been replaced, as the shell size (62) requires a size 54 or 55 liner.
Because it’s too large, it is bunched up at the rear of the shell. The good
news is that it includes a drawstring and a non-reinforced zinc liner band. The
shell is stamped on the side of the interior (Q 62). This was produced by Quist
in Esslingen, in, as mentioned earlier, a size 62. A chinstrap is included, and
is a brown leather example with a metal buckle. Overall sound, with the one
obvious liability, this is still makes a great display example! Priced
accordingly.
