H-264a Model 1935 Army Single Decal Reissue Helmet
This example retains a solid 95% of its reissue, dark green combat finish. The
Army decal is excellent as well, remaining 95% intact and is neat because it’s
actually applied at an angle. Whoever said the Germans were perfect forgot to
realize Monday mornings and Friday afternoons! The interior has a brown leather,
size stamped 57 liner that has major wear with a few missing tongues. There is a
drawstring and a non-reinforced zinc linerband. The side of the interior is
stamped “ET 64”, indicating production by Eisenhuttenwerke of Thale. The rear
of the skirt is stamped with the steel lot number, this is difficult to read due
to the reissue finish, but appears to read “139”. A mostly complete leather
chinstrap with metal fittings is in place as well. A sound example, especially
on the exterior.
