H-273a Model 1942 Army Single Decal Helmet (Shell)
This example retains 65% of its original dark green combat finish.
The Army decal is nice, checking in at 85% intact. There is no liner but there
is a non-reinforced zinc linerband that is maker marked, dated 1940 and size
marked 56. The side of the interior is stamped “ET 64” indicating production
by Eisenhuttenwerke of Thale in the size of 64. The rear of the skirt is stamped
with the steel lot number of “2611” indicating it was produced some time in
1942. A sound, representative example!
