What is the origin of "The Ruptured Duck" insignia?

You know we are always busy updating the site with 'new' goodies for you, but in
recent months we've also been 'updating' our photography! As you may have
noticed, many of the items have been re-photographed and **WOW** what a
difference! We've hired a professional photographer (and fellow
collector!) who has spent countless hours on this task so if you haven't checked
out the new pictures, give them a second look ~ you'll be impressed!
Hear Ye, Hear Ye, Hear Ye!
There is an amazing new scientific testing service now available to establish the originality of our beloved steel helmets! Recently members of the XRFacts team paid us a visit. They wanted to give us a demonstration of this ground-breaking technology, which uses X-Ray Fluorescence, a non– destructive, non-invasive testing method to identify the composition of the steel shell, the paint and even the decal.
Well, I want to tell you that we were absolutely amazed by the results of these tests! The team has done extensive testing and established a highly reliable database identifying the composition found in original German helmets. These professionals asked if they could evaluate a number of helmets I had listed on the website. These ranged from garden variety, standard, service helmets to exotic camouflage helmets and rare Double Decal examples. Please check out the listings for this sampling.

Having closely observed the team in action doing these very credible forensic examinations over a two day period, I am firmly convinced that this is a very valuable technology. I fully endorse this "Provenance Through Science" and recommend you consider using their service. Please be sure to visit their website to gain more insight at www.XRFacts.com
