U-063 Mint,
Choice, Unissued Model 1943 SS Combat Tunic
I think you catch our drift on this piece. This example truly is
mint, being unissued and having just the slightest hint of tracking in a few
spots. This is hardly worth a mention, it is so minor! This has four patch
pockets with straight flaps. There is a five-button closure with a hook and loop
at the collar. All buttons are zinc, pebbled with a field grey finish. It is
equipped with straps and buttons for slip-on type shoulder boards. The left
sleeve has a gorgeous machine embroidered SS eagle in white over black. It has
been machine applied in a zig-zag stitch pattern. The interior is partially
lined in green HBT (herringbone twill) which has a few very small stains. There
are straps for the belt hooks, as well as a small bandage pocket on the lower
right. The right closure seam has ink stamps which indicate the sizes of the
tunic, as well as SS-BW (SS is actually the runes) inside a rectangle. The tunic
is a size 36-38. Absolutely choice and mega-desirable!
