U-080 Scarce Army Tan and Water Camouflage Smock
This mega desirable smock is produced in a soft cloth with a tan and
water camouflage pattern. It is very clean, with just minor discoloration and
wear. It is very lightweight. There are slots by the chest to enable access
underneath, the underside of the right (as worn) flap has a RBNr., the size (1)
and “F44”, indicating manufacture in Frankfurt in 1944. The armpits have
slots for ventilation purposes. The drawstrings for the waist (white cloth) and
the upper closure (green cloth) are included and original to the smock. The
eyelets for the upper closure are the proper reinforced type. There is a hood
that, believe it or not, has the super scarcely seen face veil (sometimes
attributed to snipers), these have usually been removed by the original owner so
it is very rare to see one still intact. This is produced in a lightweight mesh
fabric which is camouflaged just like the smock. The end of each sleeve has a
strap closure with two aluminum buttons for adjustment. A sure-fire winner and
missing from many collections!
