U-162a Kriegsmarine Foul Weather Black Leather
Coat and Pants
This set includes a black leather coat and pants. The coat shows some
minor wear throughout, with moderate wear to the upper shoulders. There is minor
discoloration as well. The leather remains quite supple and soft. It has a
single breast pocket and a pair of hip pockets with straight flaps. The cuffs
are adjustable via a strap and buttons (one button is missing on the right
sleeve). All buttons are 21mm and have the Navy anchor on them, including the
five for the closure (two are missing). The interior is fully lined in black
felt and shows just minor wear. There is a single pocket on the right side. The
sleeves are lined in a black striped cloth. There is a large tag at the area of
the neck. The tag is hard to read but does have a maker’s name, as well as the
size information. The coat is a size 40. Moving on to the pants, which are quite
similar condition-wise to the coat. They remain soft and supple with minor wear
and discoloration. There is a triangular hole the size of my forefinger around
on the lower right leg. There are hip pockets and a four-button fly. One of the
black Bakelite buttons is missing. There is a metal hook and loop for additional
closure at the fly. There is a cinch strap with metal buckles at the rear. Four
of the six buttons are present for the suspenders. Inside, the pants are lined
with a grey cloth. There is a large tag similar to the one in the coat, it is
completely washed out so none of the script is legible. The pants are fairly
large, having a size 34 waist. A great set, ready for a mannequin!
