Formal Promotion Document from Reichsbahn Directorate-This is a late war, March 1945 dated promotion document for Peter Reimer. This document notes his promotion from Bahnshofsschaffner to Oberbahnshofsschaffner. It is dated March 1, 1945, obviously very late. It is signed at the bottom “for the National Transport Minister, the President of the National Railway Directorate. I am not sure who the signed was. This bi fold formal document measures 14” by 10” and has an embossed national eagle at the bottom left. The recipient, Peter Reimer, survived the war and later co-authored a book on the National Railway System under Hitler. Very interesting!
