US WWII Ike Jacket, Owner Identified, 5th Army/North African Campaign Tech Sergeant-This is in great condition, produced in olive drab wool that is super clean. There are two pleated pockets with scalloped flaps. There is a four-button closure with an additional button/strap with snap at the waist. There are cinch straps at the waist. The left sleeve has a North Africa Campaign sleeve shield, rank chevron for technical sergeant and stripes for 2 ½ years of overseas service. The right sleeve has a 5th Army sleeve shield, another rank patch and a Meritorious Unit Citation patch. There is a US lapel pin on the right collar and a signals corps pin on the left. There are ribbon bars for the WWI Victory Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the American Campaign Medal and the EAME Medal with two battle stars. There are Marksmanship pins for Rifle and Pistol-D. The interior is fully lined in gold cloth that is excellent. There are pockets on each side. The right side has a tag which lists the date of June 9, 1944, a size stamp of 38R and the tailor as N. Scheer & Sons. There is a laundry number written and stamped onto the interior. It reads “M4437” The owner was Howard G. Madgett and his ASN was 33154437. Great condition!
