WWII German Army Cavalry Officer Tunic and Pants-This set is a private purchase, later war Model 1936 style set for an army cavalry leutnant. The tunic is produced in a very high quality, field grey wool that is excellent. There is extremely minor wear only. There is a six-button closure and all buttons are field grey finished pebbled metal. There are four pleated pockets with scalloped flaps. There is a dark green badge cloth collar and French cuffs. The collar tabs are extremely neatly hand applied. The columns are matte silver cloth with yellow litzen over dark green badge cloth. The sew in shoulder boards are matte grey flat wire over yellow badge cloth. Each has a 17 cipher on it. The breast eagle is neatly hand applied. It is silver bullion with bright silver flat wire highlights over dark green wool. There are loops for a single badge on the left breast pocket. The interior is fully lined in green rayon. There is minor wear and discoloration from use. There is a single pocket on the left side with a strap/slot for an edged weapon. The tailor tag is seen up by the collar. It is a size medium. The trousers are produced in a slightly lights shade of field grey wool. They are also excellent with ever so slight discoloration in a few spots. There are foot straps at the bottom. There are slash type hip pockets and a single buttoned rear pocket. There is a three button fly with a single button at the waist. There are straps and buttons for the suspenders. The waist is a size 30 and these are 41” in length. An excellent set!
