WWII German Army Observer Artillery Captain Private Purchase Waffenrock, Named-This is a private purchase so the quality is excellent.  The coat is produced in extremely soft field grey wool. There is minor wear, some discoloration/staining and a few very small holes. There is an eight-button closure and all buttons are silver finished pebbled aluminum. The collar and cuffs are dark green badge cloth. Each, along with the closure seams and the tail are piped in red piping. The collar tabs are bright silver bullion over red badge cloth. There are a few small moth nips in the badge cloth. The sew in shoulder boards are bright silver flat wire over red badge cloth with two pips on each. These are for the rank of hauptmann or captain. Each board has a Gothic “B” plus the number “22”. This is for observation battalion 22. The breast eagle is bright silver bullion with silver flat wire highlights over dark green wool. There is minor wear. There are loops for a single badge on the left side chest plus loops for a large ribbon bar. There are cuff tabs which are identical to the collar tabs, only smaller. The interior is fully lined in golden brown rayon that is excellent. There is a waist belt and a single pocket on the left side. Inside the pocket is a tailor tag with the name which is hand written, the last name is “Bock” and the date is 29.11.37. The tunic is a size medium. Very good condition!
