WWII German Army Signals Captain Model 1936 Tunic-This private purchase tunic is produced with very high-quality materials. It is soft, field grey wool that does have some discoloration/staining plus a few areas of wear and holes. There is a five-button closure and all buttons are field grey finished pebbled metal. There are four pleated pockets with scalloped flaps. There is a dark green badge cloth collar and French cuffs. The collar tabs are matte silver bullion over green badge cloth with yellow litzen. The sew in shoulder boards are also matte silver bullion. They are over faded yellow badge cloth and each has a pair of gilt pips and “VII” ciphers. The breast eagle is very unique! It is toned silver bullion over dark green wool with green cloth thread highlights. Very nice! There is a set of loops on the left breast pocket for a badge plus another set for a small ribbon bar. The interior is fully lined in brown rayon that has minor wear and discoloration from use. There is a single pocket on the left side which has a large tailor tag. There is a unique waist belt which has the hook attached to the closure seam, cool. It is a size medium. A very interesting piece that is priced to sell!
