German WWII Red Cross Oberfeldführer Sew in Shoulder Board Set-These would have been worn by the DRK Senior Field Leader or the Heer equivalent of a Oberstleutnant. These sew in boards feature silvery, gray-colored aluminum on a light gray wool underlay. There is a single gold pip on each of the boards, which represents the rank. The finish on the gold is mostly in place, though there is a slight discoloration to one of the pips. This is the 1935 pattern, as the DRK uniforms were changed substantially after the treaty of Versailles. These are very clean, and excellent! These are a scarce find!
