German WWII Army Officers Dagger by F.W. Holler-This is an early example that is in choice condition. This is beautifully plated, with nickel silver fittings that retain the majority of their finish. The off-white-colored celluloid handle is in near excellent condition. It shows no crazing or cracking. The details to the army eagle on the crossguard and pommel are also excellent. The leather buffer is in place under the crossguard. The silver finish on the pebbled scabbard matches the tone of the dagger fittings. The detailing of the scabbard fittings is great, and have the appropriate hanger rings in place. The blade is very good. It does show some slight pitting in the center, and has loosened slightly over time. As the celluloid shrinks slightly over time, the blade can be a bit loose. You can see the F.W. Holler logo under the crossguard, on the reverse of the blade. This is an excellent example.
