German WWII Early NSKK Totally Ground Röhm Dagger by Eickhorn-Handsome example in very sound condition throughout showing all of the early production characteristics. Crossguard and scabbard fittings retain the majority of their nickel silver plating. The handle is a perfect fit with handsome grip eagle and SA runic button. The reverse of the lower cross guard is Gruppe stamped Ns for Neiderschessen (Lower Saxony). The black enameled paint on the scabbard is a strong 90% but the absence of two screws on the upper scabbard fitting leads me to believe that this was repainted at some time. However, a close examination of the paint makes me believe that this was done during the Third Reich period. The blade has considerable light moisture spots but the “All for Germany” engraving is prominent. The Röhm dedication has been totally removed from the reverse of the blade. This is definitely a Röhm dagger as the early Eickhorn logo is very close to the crossguard. Overall, very good condition, won’t last long.
