German WWII Early SA Dagger with Partial Röhm Inscription by E. Packe & Sohne-This dagger shows all of the characteristics of an early production including nickel silver cross guards and scabbard fittings. The reverse of the lower cross guard is Gruppe stamped Fr for Franken. This of course has the anodized scabbard which retains only a small percentage of its original finish. The grip fit on the brown wooden handle is excellent. The early nickel silver eagle is combined with the enameled SA runic button. This has some obvious verdigris. The blade rates strong very good with the traditional SA motto “Allies for Deutschland” on the obverse. This was a Röhm presentation dagger but per regulation the majority of the Röhm inscription has been eradicated. It, however, is quite visible on the reverse of the blade. The early E. Packe & Sohne logo is also still present on the reverse of the blade. Overall, very good condition and let’s call it a poor man’s SA Röhm presentation dagger.
