German WWII Hitler Youth Knife with Motto-As found untouched example retaining approx. 75% of the nickel silver finish on the hilt. The checkered grip plates and enameled Hitler Youth diamond are fine. The original enameled black paint on the scabbard is 60%. The blade is missing about 1/32 of an inch at the tip. The “Blut und Ehre!” motto is very clear on the blade. The blade will rate overall very good with the typical light sharpening and some dark spots. The motto of the maker, August Merten (thanks TB!) is seen on the back. The leather belt strap has a retainer and is in very good condition.
