German WWII Model 33 Enlisted Man’s Dagger by Robert Klaas-This is an RZM vintage example which has some pluses and minuses. The hilt and scabbard nickel silver fittings appear to be of early production. The black ebony wooden grip is an excellent fit, but the outward appearance appears to be that the finish has been redone as it has a very shiny look to it. The scabbard paint is 95% plus. A close look at the screws that hold the fitting onto the scabbard indicate that they have been adjusted at some point. This has a near excellent blade, with a very deep SS motto on the obverse, which translates to “My Honor Is Loyalty”. There are some light surface scratches. The reverse of the blade has a double listing with the RZM logo plus the contact number of M7/34. Under that is an additional contract RZM number which reads 1051/38 SS. Both of these numbers are awarded to the firm of Robert Klaas. Priced according to condition.
