WWII German Army Model 1935 Single Decal Helmet-This is a reissue example in fine condition. Originally a double decal example, it was refitted for combat duty with the addition of a rough texture field grey finish and then had just a single decal applied to the left side. The finish remains 90% intact and the decal is literally 98% present, although a little crooked (common on reissues). This one definitely saw some use as the brown leather liner has some minor discoloration, staining and wear. There is a shoestring in place of the original drawstring. The liner is stamped with the size, 55. There is a zinc liner band that is dated 1944 (very late!). The side of the interior is stamped E.F. 62 indicating production by Emaillerwerke of Fulda in the size of 62. The rear skirt is stamped with the lot number 13203. An interesting example in fine condition!
