German WWII Army Infantry Officer’s Visor Cap-This is a late war example as the wool is made of a greenish grey material. The white piping has a ribbed look to it and is not the usual bullion. In this case it is made of a twisted wool material. The insignia on the front is a combination of a silver bullion wreath and cockade and a late war zinc army eagle. Based on the whole look I’m calling this eagle an original but a replaced example. The top of the cap has some mothing. The interior of this size 56 cap has a diamond shaped moisture shield and a very attractive maker mark. This has an oil cloth type grey sweatband. Let’s call this very good and priced accordingly.
