WWII German Army Administration Officer Private Purchase Visor Cap-This example is produced in soft, trikot weave field grey wool. It does have some minor visible wear and discoloration, with a few very faint stains. There are two holes under the top panel on each side. These were deliberately added by the owner as ventilation holes. The owner also removed the stiffening ring giving the cap a crusher type look. The top panel is piped in dark green administration piping. The insignia is all zinc and in fine condition aside from the finish being worn. There is an officer style, bullion double chin cord that is held in place by a pair of silver finished pebbled metal buttons. The black vulkanfibre visor is dull but otherwise fine. The underside of the visor is crosshatched and finished in a green grey hue. The interior is fully lined in greenish gold rayon. It is damage free with some minor discoloration and wear from use. The diamond shaped moisture shield is missing but the “ghost” is clearly visible. The maker info is faintly visible along with other info. The cap is a size 56. There is a grey sweatband that is complete but has a few tears. A good example overall!
