WWII German Army Artillery Enlisted Ranks Visor Cap-This handsome cap is produced in field grey trikot weave wool. It is very clean and has extremely minor wear only. The red piping is clean and has one tiny nip only. The insignia is aluminum and retains all of the finish with minor discoloration. The black patent leather chin strap is faded but otherwise ok. The same goes for the black vulkanfibre visor. It is finished in an orange brown hue and cross hatched. The top panel of the interior is lined in orange brown oil cloth with the same color cloth found on the sides. The rhomboid shaped moisture shield is fully intact and the lining is stamped underneath with the size, 56 ½. The sweatband is orange brown oil cloth. It is in fine condition and still quite soft. The underside is well marked. One stamp reads “HB 36” indicating it was produced in 1936. There is another stamp that reads “Landesiieferungs-genossenschaft Kürschner ü Mützenmacher in Bayern 1” which is the maker information. This was a cooperative manufacturer. Near excellent!
