WWII German Luftwaffe Pith Helmet-This desirable example has a green cloth body that is excellent. It is very clean. The insignia is original to the period but we believe replaced on this cap. The finish is missing from the eagle but intact on the tri color. The light tan leather brim trim is fully intact. The chinstrap is also in great condition. The underside of the brim is finished in the same material as the body. The interior is finished in a dusky red cloth that has ever so slight wear and discoloration from use. There is a tan leather sweatband that is in fine condition. It is very soft and supple. The underside is size stamped 56 and maker marked (illegible). Excellent overall!
